Thank you, new comic readers!

Just a quick post to thank all the people that bought my comics in the last year (especially in the last few weeks). You have helped me buy a new back up power system!

Ever since the storm that hit my country back in January this year, my old power system somehow took a beating and I couldn't render properly anymore. I never realized how stressful this was until a few weeks ago when I started rendering the MASSIVE scenes of the disco dragon. Some images would take 2 days to render but the local power supply is so unreliable (and my back up system no vigilant enough) that it would kick out a render half-way. its also not healthy for my computers to switch off mid-process. So thanks for helping me out there!! Huge difference!

As you also saw below, I ran into another brick wall regarding Poser. My scenes were just TOO BIG! It was reported as a bug and now I've managed to truncate my scenes without compromising on the result. Rendering is fine again!

Last week was also a little scare when I got an email from Google saying I was in violation of their TOS, which confused the hell out of me. I was worried about this blog and my galleries. Turned out they had quietly changed their Picasa TOS back in 2014 and ever since I'd unintentionally been in violation of it. So by moving all my shit to my blogger albums it would still be legit. I did so and hopefully they'll leave me alone now. But the pressure to make my own website is ever greater, Google clearly wants nothing to do with us. Thanks Jim, KF and Cyprine for your help thusfar!

I hope from now on it will be clear sailing! In the last two days I've managed to render four massive renders with ease. Parts 2 and 3 of the DD will be easier to render since they won't have that many crowd scenes.

Btw that girl up there is 'Rebecca'. I'll probably add her to the Project E Character FBMs :)

  1. I'm thinking of seeking psychiatric help waiting for the next Poser. I mean at least with you, you were able to give us some reassurance as to where you were with Lali Bits, but with Smith Micro/Poser it is a blind guessing game.
Where are they? Do they have any estimated time for release?

Sorry, but it is literally driving me insane waiting with nothing to go on.

Disco Dragon is looking amazing despite the render issues. I'm interested in seeing what all you've done.

    1. Ask your psychiatrist when we go together if we can get a group discount? I don't think they'll ever let on when it's coming, except right at the end. My experience with software is... NEVER PROMISE A DATE! lol because bugs can come out of nowhere.

But they have been discounting PP2014 like crazy so who knows that might be an indicator? They were focusing on end of the year but that can mean anything. Personally they can take as long as they want, because 1) they need to get shit right this time and 2) I can delay Project E some more lol! That project will be the death of me.

thanks, I hope that the DD is not going to delay me any more because I really need to start getting results now. I've already started rendering Sen's comic on another PC!

  2. Please do add Rebecca to the FBMs for ProjectE. I am REALLY liking the character morph, Vanya too if possible!

  3. I'm really curious about what they'll come up with, regarding Poser... it's been my platform of choice so far, and yet, due to the inertia at SM, I've given a try at Daz Studio, mostly because of the iRay engine and Genesis 3 being a good figure. I still keep my hopes up about Poser, though, but mind you Ero, it's for the sake of laying my hands one day onto your glorious Project E. I don't think I have ever wanted a real woman as bad as this polygoned one. I know, it's sad!

    2. My biggest hope is that they will have the physical renderer take advantage of GPU cores if you have them. Properly harnessed the Cuda cores in Nvidia cards kick out amazing results in scary fast times. I am not sure what the equivalent on AMD is...but I know they have something similar. I think its OpenCL but I am not sure.

If they keep to their typical pattern...we can likely anticipate the initial version by the middle to end of Q4 and the Pro version a few weeks to a month later. That's what they did with 9 and 10 IIRC.

  4. It looks very promising, especially regarding Superfly's Nvidia compatibility. Now to wait for it :p

    1. They announced its compatible with the Nvidia cores? Don't suppose you have a link to their post on it?

Hey, because of a sudden influx of spam, I need to moderate comments from now on, unfortunately. I'll try find a work-around in the meanwhile. Cheers!
