TaB Poser complete: in testing

Hey boys n girls, ladies and gentlemen, cats n dogs, etc...

TaB (Twig and Berries) for Poser is now in the hands of Alpha testers that are checking it out to find problems etc etc. In the meanwhile I'll be writing a manual for it.

I thought you might be interested in some info on TaB:

TaB (Twig and Berries) was originally designed for M4, but can work for several other figures that work in Poser (V4, G2M&F dson, G3 ported, Paul, Pauline, James and Rex). There is a DS version in the making too.

TaB comes in two main sets:
  • For Poser native figures (those with a hip: M4, V4, Paul, Pauline, James and Rex)
  • For figures ported through DSON (those with a pelvis: G2M&F dson, maybe G3 converted)
In each set there are four different versions that have different UV sets (can use four different texture sets: M4 gens, G2M gens, G3M gens and my own Ero textures). All versions are identical in functionality, with exception of their fitting morphs obviously. TaB relies on a transmap to blend in at the base with the host body. I have provided several options for this trans map for all UV four versions.

The idea is that you can use TaB with any figure you wanna conform it to, with any texture set you already have, or with the new ones I've provided.

  • TaB Poser Core Pack
  • TaB Poser Expansion Pack

The Core Pack is for people that can do their own materials. It will include the following:
  • Four UV versions of Genesis-friendly TaBs (inside Poser)
  • Four UV versions of Poser figure-friendly TaBs

  • 29 applicable poses for M4
  • Fit poses for each supported figure
  • 16 preset poses (including zero poses)
  • 21 Shaft poses (including zero poses)
  • 26 glans poses (including zero poses)
  • 21 scrotum poses (including zero poses)
  • 10 detail poses (including zero poses)
  • 17 more misscalaneous poses (including zero poses)

  • 5 versions of a Cockring prop for M4, V4, G2M and F and a general poser version

  • 12 core materials for the Ero version for show, and as a basis for tinkerers to make their own sets.

  • The basic versions of 4 types of Ero textures.
  • Several masks that can be used for all four UV sets.
  • Helpful info jpegs.
  • Several transparencies per UV version

  • 1 Start-up scene with lights and render setting as I like them

The Expansion pack will include +200 materials of different shades and matches to existing M4 material packs available.
  • +140 shades with pubes versions
  • materials for M4 Elite figures using original textures (M4 Elite required)
  • materials for M4 Elite gens using original textures (M4 Elite required)
  • matching materials for M4 Elite gens
  • matching materials for Tyrese and Uncle Albert
  • materials for M6 Darius, Michael 6 and M6 Phillip gens using original textures (original textures required)

Dicks, Comics, and perhaps a dickgirl too

Hey peeps. Well a LOT is changing around here. The country I'm living in (name withheld) is totally buckling under climate change and local government corruption and population apathy. I'm finally actually leaving to the UK. I might still go to Canadastan later but for now I just need to get the fuck out. This means a lot of things: no more drama like, no power, no water, no family dramas, finally access to modern fucking technology, I don't have to be secretive about the fact that I do erotic comics, etc etc etc. I can basically concentrate on my career again. But it also means I need to work harder since the UK is more expensive than it is here... or is it?

This year has been abnormally expensive because of running the petrol generator almost daily, I have been distracted for the last few years because my family always finds a way to cause drama, and most products in the store here are imported. Plus I'll expect I can work more efficiently in the UK than here, where I get constantly distracted by endless shit. Nothing works properly here, everything breaks, they do their best to keep foreigners with money out, no investments, and nobody gives a fuck. Its so sad though. This country used to be prosperous, its currency was equal to the pound, and since they kicked their dictator, its just total corruption. These governments totally don't give a shit about their people, and what is worse, the people just seem to take it. I hope they get their revolution and fast, its very fucked up here.

Take no prisoners

But this means no more bullshit from me, and Project E is now high on the list. I'll need the cash. Comics are going well despite the problems, but I'll need more than just comics to survive the next few months (because my comics are getting pirated like nobody's business, which is a compliment in a way, but I'm not sure if that actually results in funds for me). Now you all know about my misadventures with Poser last year that entirely stagnated Project E, and how they finally fixed some horrendous issues after I (and many others) bitterly complained about it. Well, things are working again, and I know this because I've been experimenting on another, smaller, figure project over the last few months. And thus I can say I have a small surprise for some of the erotica fans out there. I've been secretly developing a male gens for my comics and its nearly complete. Its called TAB (for Twig and Berries).

TAB will be sold over at Renderotica. TAB will be able to fit M4, V4, M6 and V6, as well as Poser's Rex, James, Paul and Pauline. Most standard DAZ FBMs will be supported. It is highly detailed, high resolution, loads of morphs and you can use your old M4, M6 and M7 materials and textures on it the textures in the images are M4). You can also use my custom textures I will provide for it.

I designed it in such a way that it should work for both Poser and DS, but the DS version might be delayed for some time. My DAZ savior has gone AWOL (has anyone seen Poison?). Hopefully I can also get support for M7 & V7 going too.

PE UK release

Once TAB is done, and I'm in the UK, I'm going full out on Project E. TAB has allowed me to experiment with figures in Poser without making me loose my shit, and I now know what to avoid. I will try to release PE a.s.a.p with all the promised morphs, mannequins, donors, some base textures, some basic clothes and a really detailed instruction manual about how to pose her realistically. If all goes well she should be able to work in DS too.

PE as a dickgirl?

Once she's out, I think I'll work on a dedicated dickgirl version of her. So basically I'll integrate TAB into Project E. So she'll be even higher res, because TAB is already pretty high. But most artists these days have decent processing power, so no whining please :D

And no I am not doing a dickgirl for myself. Its strictly business.

Project Dude?
If those two sell well I might even consider making a dude, but that is a BIG if. Making a figure is not a joke, and its not even sure if the Poser community will accept PE, let alone a dude version. If PE fails, then I am fucked and I need to change gears rapidly. I might have to go into modelling full time and perhaps start using 3DSMax exclusively, but I doubt it. Although Poser is not very popular these days, and DS is really not my cup of tea, I'm sure my comics will be able to gain traction somewhere, with the right PR.

Right now, Disco Dragon 3 is about at 20% and Sen's comic about the same. They're going quite ok. Of course they could go even faster if I had power all day.

Next year, when PE is out, I want to start making my first mainstream Lali comic. It will have some sexiness in it, but more like just nudity and hints of sex. I'll try plan it in such a way that there can be a sex version of it.

Going mainstream is risky, but there are a few advantages that can make it worth trying: there's a larger audience probably, I can concentrate more on an actual story, and its easier to make! Yes, sex comics are actually really tough to make. For me at least. Posing two or more people in intimate sex positions, and all the time moving around, is fakken hard to do. I could also just make simple picture series like other artists, but that's boring. I do prefer telling a story. The Gentleman's Club's non-sex scenes were completed in a few weeks, its the sex scenes that took forever. And to be honest, although its generally fun, it can get a bit boring after a while.

Don't worry, I'll still do Lali Lites and erotic comics like always, but I think Lali's stories have more to offer than what they do at the moment. I already have her first Black Desk comic planned out almost entirely, and I wouldn't be surprised if it will be completed faster than my erotic comics (for reasons stated above). It still features Lali's typical naughtiness and wit, and I wouldn't be surprised its even more entertaining than her erotic comics. Remember Pock's Rescue Mission?

Anyway, that's it for now folks!

The Disco Dragon rages on!

As most of you know by now, the Disco Dragon part 2 has been released over at Renderotica for $10! So far, it has gotten some very positive reviews over on Deviant Art and Rotica. Be sure to check it out, its 400 plus pages of Lali fun!

So with the momentum I managed to build up despite the power problems I'm dealing with, I immediately carried on with part 3. The script is entirely fleshed out to the last detail, leaving no room for writer's block during the posing phase. I hope I can get part 3 released by Christmas, but with the power problems I'm not 100% sure if I can. I really want to anyhow! I also want to try get Sen's comic released around the same time, if not then somewhere January or February of 2017.

If sales go well with the DD2 I might finally be able to set up my own website and galleries, so that I can keep all announcements, reviews and pictures in one place, and not be afraid of this immature anti-erotica trend that seems to be taking over the world these days (I'm surprised I can still post here at all). There is also a big chance I might be moving to the UK soon, depending on funding. I can promise you, once I'm there, things will go MUCH faster again.

I may have more time now for Project E too, although I wonder if enough people are still interested. Anyway, once I'm rendering again for the DD and Sen's comic, I'll have time to spare to play with PE again.

Small Update August 2016

Hey guys, nothing much to announce here except that the comics are going well and that PE is more-or-less back on the menu.

Sen's comic is now rendering and I have to say I'm very pleased with the results! This is going to be one crazy comic! The Disco Dragon Part 2 is nearing a close but I'm constantly adding more to it. It is a lot of fun now.

Project E mesh5 has been carefully revived after Poser Pro 11 was fixed to let her work in it. I have decided not to mess with her rig anymore and just focus on making lots of morphs for her. She also needs a clean-up. I also hope to make her available for DAZ Studio after the Poser version is complete. She seemed to work fairly decently in DS with some minor adjustments.

PS. If you like my stuff, then I highly recommend you follow me on Deviant Art, I have a LOT going on over there, almost daily.

Sunday, 10 July 2016

Oh man, after having been out of comics for almost two years because of that infernal Project E, its tough getting back in. Its basically going from a technical mindset to a storytelling mindset, or rather a mindset of trying to comprehend and navigate an illogical and merciless obstacle course, to a world of free thought, creativity and ambition that sometimes overwhelms me. Next to my render PCs I have my laptop which is running movies the whole day. star wars, lord of the rings, blood diamond, tinker tailor, body of lies, the bourne series, zero dark thirty, the green zone, the veteran, in a big looping playlist just to get back into storymode lol.

But make no mistake, making a proper comic in CGI takes loads of planning. Props, locations and figures need to all be ready before you even start, and sometimes even entire pose sets need to be prepared if the scenes are too big like with the DD. Luckily the VIP of the Disco Dragon scene isn't too big, so that's going fairly ok, and has been doing so for the last few months. But for Sen's comic there's still a lot of preparing I had to do I never realized.

As you will soon hopefully see, Sen's Initiation is a very busy occasion with loads of poses and weapons and gear to think of, as well as weird creatures with the craziest materials. The script is pretty mad too... its VERy different from Lali's comics.

A number of things I made in the last few days were some new weapons for Sen. The long Laesalash is inspired by the German Knechts Kreigsmesser, a simple but robust sable. I made it in 3dsmax.

I also made a spearhead that can be used as a sword. Since spears are very long and not very easy to lug around, the Turtum spear is more a sword than a spear, but if Sen finds a nice pole that she can lodge into the back of it, it can become a decent spear. She will use this in the comic.

Much more to come, like the throne of the Murguul (made by ghostman) and some variations of the murguul themselves. ugh... why do I always make such big projects...

Project E Lite

When Project E starts working in Poser 11*, I will wrap the project up when I have time. This will be a watered-down version of the initial plan for the figure. I will try to provide as many morph packs as possible. Texture variations and clothing will have to come from vendors.

How is this plan different from the initial one? There are a number of things that need changing and improving with this figure, but I simply don't dare to touch her rig anymore because the moment I do, Poser will break something. For example, I want to remove some ghost bones that are now obsolete (because that was a workaround for the JCM bug) and her shoulder blades might need more polygons, but the moment I plug her into the setup room, channels get mixed up, and the bending is affected in the weirdest ways. This happened with Mesh4.5 and we eventually managed to fix it. It will have to do, its not ideal but she looks pretty ok as she is.

Comics come first, however. So please continue to be patient ;) Thank you for your endless support and understanding.

*I need P11 since they have fixed a number of issues. Unfortunately they also screwed up a bunch of others.

Splitting up the DD and Starting Sen tomorrow!

Hi peeps! Man man, so much has happened...

Mojo, Madness and Mankind

Sorry for the long silence, but I needed to make a huge effort getting back my mojo after the disappointment that is Project E (more on that later). Getting back into the swing of comic making, rendering frame by frame and basically getting back into the stories and characters takes a lot of concentration and mind-bending. I was well out of it, I'm surprised that I managed to pull off the DD part 1 when I did. I guess I can understand what Hollywood actors go through to get into their roles, but I have to do it with several characters at once, and do the cinematography, and CG technical stuff, and make sure the story gets told properly... ugh...

What also doesn't entirely help is some of the shit going down around the world, like the horrible Orlando shootings, the most shameful political games that ensued, and then Brexit, which in itself is interesting to witness, but the racism that it seems to have unleashed.... fucking shameful. The artwork above is my contribution to all that (called: Extremism is the Enemy of Mankind).

Anyway... now for some fun stuff.

Splitting up the DD

So anyway, DD part 2 is over 50% now but I am seriously thinking of splitting it up into more parts, because otherwise it might be too long, and I think its time that I put a comic out there a.s.a.p. I just need to make sure it doesn't disrupt the flow of the story too much. I'll wait for the current render batch to complete and then I'll see how I can split this part up.

For those who follow me on Deviant Art, you'll know about the endless Pool Party series which started over a month ago as a tool to help me get back into render mode. This definitely helped, and has resulted in some crazy and fun renders.

It also resulted in ideas for future comics, one of them being that Lali and some of her friends will go to Burning Man! Whoohoo!!! The comic will be called 'Girls on Fire!'

Resuming Sen's comic!

So once the Pool Party is done (probably tonight) then I'll get started on Sen's first comic! I have been looking forward to that SO MUCH!!! ARGH! Much has already been done, but now I need to convert a bunch of stuff to the new Erogirl base figure (mesh4.5), including garments and poses. Most of the sets are complete and I also started animating parts of it a while back. I'm excited with this series because its entirely different from what I normally do. I'm very curious what you guys will think of it...!

Modeling in Max!

I also tried my hand at modelling other stuff than human figures, namely a nice bullpup rifle especially designed for Lali. I introduced this design on Deviant Art and it sparked some interesting conversations. The design attempts to integrate the secondary weapon (pistol) into the primary weapon (rifle) so that you can maintain lethal fire at a target while reloading the primary weapon. It also has a flip up periscope optic system that minimizes the distance between the barrel and the optics, and also allows the shooter to zoom into a target. It also has a servo to stabilize the rifle's aim, entirely ambidextrous, fast interchangeable barrels and can accept most 7.65mm mags. I wonder if the design would ever prove useful for law-enforcement! More info here.

CGbytes Projects

I also helped design several new clothing and prop sets for CGbytes along with Sixus1. Two of these sets are based on my comic worlds of Sen and Siren 7. They are called 'Triplonia' and 'Dark Void', respectively. Sixus did a pretty cool job on them, definitely check them out on CGbytes if you think it looks cool.

Exploration Pod

But for the real deal I've also started my own modeling projects for Siren 7, which are WAY more detailed. For example Rose's Exploration Pod (see below) has no textures yet but all her shapes and seams are entirely 3D. It has an interior and is constructed with panels that can get dislodged when damaged. It currently has the poly count of a V4 but there's still much more to come, greebles, doors, furniture, a cockpit, landing gear, and it needs refining here and there. Here's more information.

Pauline Advanced!

As some of you might remember, I made a small bunch of morphs as a demonstration (pr protest) back when Pauline first came out. To my surprise there was quite some interest in it. I didn't have time to release those morphs but I sent them off to my colleague ShvrDavid who completely pimped Pauline. The package is now called 'Pauline Advanced', it includes my morphs, and is available on Content Paradise.

These are the old renders but I'll update with some new ones a.s.a.p with my morphs:

Art of Darkness RIP :(

Now for some less happy news, Art of Darkness is closing down, the website where Lali was brought up on. For various reasons the manager was unable to maintain the website any longer and it is now getting converted into a museum, more-or-less. As a thank you to the manager that has selflessly kept the place going for several years we hosted a funeral in the last forum open there and Lali gave a funny and emotional speech! In response to the demise of AoD, gentleman Nyghtfall opened up Visions of Darkness to keep the spirit going. Be sure to check it out! Thank you Nyght!

Project E

This paragraph has been moved to here. I don't want to bother my comic fans with this stuff.
