What goes up, must come down... for now

Can anyone confirm that the thread containing the pirated copy of Lali's Bits, and a shitload of other Renderotica products, has been taken down? Or has it just been moved elsewhere? GFXWorld is still up, it seems.

By the way, DAZ users, sorry its taking so long with the DAZ version. My internet provider is struggling with their tower and I cannot upload big things to my DAZ saviour. So hang in there please :)

  1. It seems that the actual thread on GFXWorld is still there, but the download link for uploaded.net has been killed, but the secureupload.eu link appears to still be active. Although I couldn't weed through the sea of redirect links and pop ups, it does look like it's still available.

The Foxter.ru thread is gone, thankfully.

  2. Please understand, I am not condoning or supporting the pirates, but chasing after them is futile. For every link you kill, three more pop up elsewhere. They are like cockroaches. I tried to get one pirate website shut down years ago, topgfx, because the asshole who ran it also wanted people to donate money to him before giving them access to the "good" stuff, but apparently his host doesn't care that he's charging for pirated material. They get servers in countries that don't care (or even support) about piracy and there are so many mirror sites out there that just repost the links of someone else with their own download links. After all, there are no shortage of download providers that give 'bonuses' to those who get other people to use their service, so the pirates love them. Sadly, it is one of those things you have to just try and ignore. I tried for a long time to help out my content creator friends get their stuff taken down, but in the end, for every victory, three more popped up.

    1. I know that whatever I do, piracy will persist for as long as heartless people like this will exist, but that doesn't mean you should roll over and die? What did King Leonidas think when he faced the entire Persian army at Thermoplyae? Its a matter of honour too, even though the battle will never be won. Those admin over at Foxter are wiping their asses with our products that we worked hard for. I'd rather go down fighting than let them think they can have their way just like that.

If this means that I will be forever busy stopping these assholes from fucking us up the ass, then so be it. I have fought corrupt politicians, dictators, poachers and protected black rhinos and elephants in the face of an increasing wave of poachers financed by China just a bit to long to just sit back and let some snotnose website in Russia, or wherever, to fuck me over.

And you'd be surprised actually. All the filesharing sites have responded (some a bit slower than others) and Foxter had to take down their thread for a while. It shows that we're actually forcing them to respond somehow.

  3. I don't trust free download sites like that. Often times they hide pieces of viruses in the files that initiate long after loading. Their purpose is to lure you in with free stuff, then eventually steal back ID, and as much info that they can aquire.

  5. The links in the Foxter thread are no longer in service. Happy to see that people on gfx are thinking twice about dl'ing Lali's Bits. One comment says they got fined $100 in two different languages! LOL I understand that it may seem like a futile effort to go after the pirates but the comments on GFX alone show that it can make a difference even if it is a small one, just don't let it define you. There is more to life besides those people will get what they deserve in the end.

    1. oh no don't worry, I won't let it define me. I think it is worth it to make some effort to try and annoy the fuck out of those pirates... I've fought harder fights before hehe.

I think we pretty much nailed all of the links that we know, so now we just have to wait until more come up. In the meanwhile I'm talking with people in Russia about how I can force Foxter to comply. I don't think I wanna take it down cuz it actually seems like a decent site, except for the illegal links. But the mentality of the admin is inexcusable. We'll see how the authorities will respond.

  6. sorry to change the topic. But are you planning on doing a Genesis Version of your product as well, or will it stay v4?

    1. No problem.

I've seen that there's a lot of interest in Lali's Bits for V5 but I really don't dare to say anything about it. Besides being very reluctant to have to go through all that again, Lali's Bits is taking up so much of my time now, gratefully off course, but I really wanna get back to comic making before I plan on making anything like Lali Bits again. Besides, lali's bits was borne from my comics, so who knows. I do have plans for extra morphs, but they are still for V4.

If there are any changes in plans, I will post them on this blog :)

      thanks!

Hey, because of a sudden influx of spam, I need to moderate comments from now on, unfortunately. I'll try find a work-around in the meanwhile. Cheers!
